อาทิตย์ที่แล้วผมไปสวนป่าอีก เพื่อไปชาร์ตแบต+ไปแสดงมุทิตาในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันเกิดของครูบาสุทธินันท์ ปราชญ์ชาวบ้านที่ผมนับถือ

ขาไปก็ขอให้ครูปูถ่ายภาพ snapshot ของถนนระหว่างทางเอาไว้ บอกแค่ว่าจะเอามาทำหนัง ปรากฏว่าขับรถอยู่ 6 ชั่วโมง ถ่ายมากว่า 1800 ภาพ เล่นเอากล้องแบตหมดเลย จึงเป็นหนังของถนนที่ยาวมาก และไม่มีสาระหรือเรื่องราวของภาพ

อย่างไรก็ตาม ก็ต้องหาเพลงยาวๆ มาลง ในวัยเด็ก ผมฟังเพลง progressive rock มีวงโปรดชื่อ Emerson, Lake & Palmer ซึ่งคราวนี้ก็เลือกมาใส่ในหนังสองเพลง; ELP เล่นกันสามคน แน่นปึ้ก ไม่เรื่องมาก โซโลทุกคนตลอดเวลา แหกคอก นอกแบบแผน แต่ยังเข้ากันได้ดี ทุกคนเรียนดนตรีคลาสสิคมาก่อน ทฤษฎีดนตรีแน่นเปรี๊ยะโดยไม่ต้องกล่าวอ้างอะไร

พอฟังไปถึงเพลงที่ 5 แล้ว กลับรู้สึกสะท้อนใจถึงเหตุการณ์บ้านเมือง…
ก็หวังว่าทุกฝ่ายรู้ตัวนะครับ ว่ากำลังทำอะไรอยู่ ทำเพื่ออะไร ทำแล้วจะเกิดอะไร

เพลงที่ว่านั้นคือเพลง Karn Evil 9 ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น 3 ตอน ซึ่งในหนังข้างบนเริ่มตั้งแต่กลางนาทีที่ 28 ต้นนาทีที่ 46 และต้นนาทีที่ 49 ตามลำดับ
