อ่าน: 1892 เขียนถึงทอฝันมาหลายตอน แต่เมื่อวันที่ ๒ กรกฎาคม ที่ผ่านมาทอฝันก็ได้น้องชายมาอีก ๑ คน เป็นที่ชื่นอกชื่นใจในตระกูลของพวกเราที่มีหลานเหลนที่เป็นผู้ชาย ทอฝันบอกว่าน้องชื่อ “มาวิน” หน้าตาหล่อดี นิ้วยาว นิ้วเท้าก็ยาวแบบปู่ทวด จมูกโด่งเหมือนทอฝัน แต่ทอฝันได้เห็นน้องเพียงสองวันนับแต่วันที่เกิดมาจนถึงวันนี้ คือวันที่น้องคลอด พาทอฝันไปเยี่ยมน้องกับวันที่น้องออกจากโรงพยาบาลกลับบ้านมาไหว้บรรพบุรุษ แต่ก็เห็นอาการทอฝันเรียกร้องความสนใจเป็นพิเศษ และวันที่ทอฝันไปเยี่ยมน้องทอฝันจามในห้อง แต่ก่อนหน้านั้นน้องก็จามก่อนแล้ว
วันถัดมา ปู่กลับจากงานมาจะรับทอฝันไปเยี่ยมน้อง คุณย่าบอกว่าวันนั้นทอฝันจามหลายครั้งก็เลยไม่พาไปเพราะน้องเพิ่งแรกคลอดยังไม่มีภูมิต้านทาน แต่ปู่ออกจากบ้านตอนหกโมงเย็นไปที่โรงพยาบาล ปรากฏว่าแม่หนอมเพิ่งกลับมาถึงห้องเพราะเดินไปดูหน้าลูกแต่เกิดเป็นลม มีคนช่วยพามาส่งห้อง ปู่ไปถึงพอดีก็เลยเฝ้าดูแลแทนพ่อเนติ์ที่มีภาระติดลูกค้าที่ร้าน ระหว่างนั้นแม่หนอมเข้าห้องน้ำปรากฏว่ามีเลือดออกมา จึงเรียกพยาบาลให้เข้ามาช่วยดูแล พยาบาลบอกว่าจะให้แม่บ้านมาทำความสะอาดให้ จนถึงสามทุ่มแล้วก็ยังไม่มา ปู่ก็เลยทำความสะอาดห้องน้ำให้แทน
ตอนที่แม่หนอมออกจากห้องน้ำมาแล้ว พยาบาลในห้องเด็กก็โทร.เข้ามาบอกว่าหลานตื่นแล้ว ปู่ก็เลยจะไปรับหลาน แต่พยาบาลสงสัยว่าเป็นใครเพราะไม่ใช่พ่อเด็ก บอกว่าเป็นปู่ก็ไม่ยอมให้เซ็นชื่อรับ แต่แม่หนอมก็เจ็บแผล เดินเหินก็ไม่สู้สะดวก พยาบาลก็ถือแผ่นชาร์ทเซ็นรับเด็กมาให้แค่หน้าห้องแม่หนอมก็เลยต้องออกไปเซ็นชื่อ
มาวินร้องเสียงดังแสดงว่าปอดดี แม่หนอมก็ยังไม่มีน้ำนมแต่ก็ให้มาวินดูดนมเพื่อกระตุ้นให้น้ำนมออกมา พอมาวินทำท่าหลับก็ให้ปู่รับมาวางในที่นอน พอวางก็ร้องไห้เสียงดัง ปู่เลยเอามาอุ้ม พออยู่ในอ้อมอกปู่มาวินก็เงียบ สงสัยว่าเป็นเพราะอากาศหนาว และพอผ้าอ้อมไม่กระชับ จึงคลี่ผ้าอ้อมออกเพื่อห่อตัวให้ใหม่ มาวินจะปากสั่นเพราะหนาวทั้งที่แอร์ในห้องปรับไว้ที่ ๒๗ องศาแต่ข้างนอกห้องอากาศเย็น
คืนนั้นฝนก็ตกหนัก พ่อเนติ์ก็ยังไม่มาปู่รอจนสี่ทุ่มหมดเวลาเยี่ยมแล้วและพามาวินส่งห้องเด็กอ่อนแล้วก็ขอตัวกลับ กลับมาถึงบ้านทอฝันหลับไปแล้ว
ตื่นเช้าขึ้นมา ทอฝันตื่นลืมตาข้างปู่ พอปู่กอดทอฝันปัดมือออกทันที กว่าจะยอมให้ปู่อุ้มก็หลังจากคุณย่าออกจากห้องลงไปชั้นล่างแล้ว พอทอฝันไปดูเครือกล้วยน้ำว้าข้างหน้าต่าง (ซึ่งดูทุกวันตั้งแต่กล้วยแทงปลี และแนะให้ทอฝันดูและบอกให้เขาสังเกตความเปลี่ยนแปลงของปลีกล้วยจนเป็นเครือใหญ่) เสร็จแล้วก็ลงมาข้างล่าง อาบน้ำแต่งตัวเสร็จ ปู่ก็เข้าไปกอดและบอกว่า ปู่รักลูกนะ หนูเป็นหลานรักของปู่นะลูก ทอฝันบอกทันทีว่า “ไม่ใช่ ทอฝันเป็นหลานรักของคุณย่าค่ะ” ปู่ก็เลยถามว่าแล้วใครเป็นหลานรักของปู่ละคะ ทอฝันบอกว่า “หลานคนที่สอง” ปู่ก็ถามต่อว่า หลานคนที่สองน่ะใครล่ะ ทอฝันก็บอกว่า “น้องมาวินไง..” โอ…เกิดอะไรขึ้นนี่ 555
ถามคุณย่าก็ไม่ได้พูดถึงหลานรักคนโน้นคนนี้ อานิวก็ไม่ได้พูด ไม่รู้เพื่อนบ้านหยอกล้อเอาหรือเปล่า แต่ทอฝันเป็นเด็กฉลาด พัฒนาการเขาไปไกลแบบเด็ก ๓-๔ ขวบไปแล้ว มีความคิดเป็นของตัวเองด้วย จึงตกลงกับคุณย่าว่างั้นอย่าให้เขาไปใกล้ชิดน้องตอนนี้เลยเพราะไปเห็นภาพที่แม่หนอมก็ต้องดูแลน้อง พ่อเนติ์ก็ต้องดูแลน้อง เขาจะเกิดความรู้สึกที่ไม่ดีกับน้อง ความจริงเรื่องนี้เราก็กังวลมาก่อนแล้วว่าทอฝันไม่ค่อยแสดงอาการดีใจที่มีน้อง ทอฝันมานอนกับปู่กับย่าตอนแม่หนอมท้องแก่และไม่อยากกลับบ้าน
อาการยิ่งชัดเมื่อแม่หนอมออกจากโรงพยาบาล ปู่บอกให้พามาที่บ้านก่อนเพื่อไหว้บรรพบุรุษ ปู่ไม่อยู่เพราะไปสอนหนังสือ ปรากฏว่าทอฝันจะนอนในรถเข็น เวลากินกล้วยก็ใช้วิธีดูด ต้องให้ทุกคนอุ้มไม่ยอมเดิน ก็เลยตัดสินใจว่าถ้างั้นช่วงนี้ต้องให้เขาแยกห่างกันสักพักหนึ่งก่อน เอาใจใส่ทอฝันมากกว่าเดิม แต่ปู่ก็ไปอุ้มหลายมาวินแทบทุกวัน
การมีหลานมันเป็นความสุขของคนวัยอย่างปู่ แต่ขณะเดียวกันปู่ก็เป็นห่วงความรู้สึกของหลานคนแรก คงต้องประคับประคองความรู้สึกของทอฝัน และนำพูดคุยให้เขาเข้าใจเรื่องความรัก การเป็นปู่นี่ไม่ง่ายเลยจริงๆนะเนี่ย…อิอิ.
