ชีวิตธรรมดา ตอนพันธนาการชีวิต
เมื่อพี่สาวจากไป ป้าซึ่งเป็นคนที่รักพี่สาวมากได้มาตามให้ครอบครัวเรากลับเชียงรายไปเปิดร้านทำผมที่เชียงราย ปัญหาที่เคยมีต่อกัน ก็ให้ยุติ แม่ตัดสินใจครอบครัวกลับเชียงรายอีกครั้ง ป้าแบ่งบ้านอำม้าให้หนึ่งคูหาให้เปิดร้านทำผม รายได้ไม่พอสำหรับสี่ชีวิต จึงต้องตัดสินใจกลับมากรุงเทพเพื่อหางานทำ
ได้ทำงานร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น “ชินไดโกกุ” รายได้เดือนละ 2,700 บาท ไม่รวมทิป ทำงานที่นี่มีอาหารสามมื้อ ทำงานสองกะ กะแรกสองโมงครึ่งเช้าถึงบ่ายสอง กะสอง ห้าโมงเย็นถึงสี่ทุ่มครึ่ง ตอกบัตรทั้งเข้าทั้งออกทั้งสองกะ เช้าทำความสะอาดเช็ดกระจก เช็ดโต๊ะห้องที่ต้องรับผิดชอบ จากนั้นแต่งหน้า แต่งตัวด้วยชุดกิโมโนแท้ซึ่งส่งตรงมาจากญี่ปุ่น สองสามวันแรก รุ่นพี่สอนให้ซึ่งยากมาก เพราะชุดกิโมโนไม่มีกระดุม ไม่มีซิป ไม่มีเข็มขัด ถ้ามัดเชือกหรือผ้าไม่แน่นหลุดได้ง่ายๆ ใส่ถุงเท้าและรองเท้าเกี๊ยะ กว่าจะแต่งตัวเสร็จพร้อมแต่งหน้าอย่างน้อยครึ่งชั่วโมง แรกๆ เดินไม่เป็นเลยค่ะ
ที่นี่กฎงวดเข้มมาก ห้ามรับนัดกับแขกเป็นอันขาด เขาบอกว่าที่นี่ร้านอาหารไม่ใช่ผับหรือบาร์ ถ้าจับได้โดนไล่ออกสถานเดียว ที่เป็นเช่นนี้เนื่องจากเป็นร้านอาหารที่มีลูกค้าเป็นระดับผู้หลักผู้ใหญ่ของประเทศญี่ปุ่นและประเทศไทย สำหรับประเทศไทย ถึงระดับรัฐมนตรีกระทรวงการคลัง ไม่รู้ว่าจำกันได้หรือเปล่า ท่านสมหมาย ฮุนตระกูล ชอบไปนั่งทานอาหารคนเดียวและมักนั่งในห้องซูชิ
ช่วงพักหลังบ่ายสองรุ่นใหญ่จะนอนหลับพักผ่อน รุ่นเล็กต้องไปเรียนภาษาญี่ปุ่นกับหัวหน้าคนดูแลร้านซึ่งเป็นคนญี่ปุ่น
ในการทำงานพนักงานเสริฟจะเป็นผู้รับคำสั่งอาหารแล้ว ไม่ต้องส่งครัวรวมทั้งไม่ต้องยกอาหารจากครัว จะมีเด็กยกอาหารอีกต่อหนึ่ง พนักงานเสริฟรับอาหารจากเด็ก แล้วจึงนำไปเสริฟ การทานอาหรญี่ปุ่นเป็นศิลปะอย่างหนึ่ง ต้องมีความละเมียดละมัย เครื่องเคียง ตะเกียบ ที่วางตะเกียบ ผ้าอุ่น ซ๊อส ชาเขียว เป็นต้นเครื่องเคราเหล่านี้เราต้องจัดให้เรียบร้อยถูกต้องตามตำแหน่ง การเสริฟต้องเสริฟ คนที่นั่งหันหลังให้รูปภาพ เพราะคนนั้นเป็นแขก พนักงานคนใดแอบทานอาหารของแขก ถูกหักเงินเดือนและต้องจ่ายเงินจานนั้น ยังไม่พอถ้าทำบ่อยๆ ทำให้ทานแบบมากๆ และบังคับให้ทานให้หมด ซึ่งเป็นที่น่าหวาดเสียวมาก
ก่อนจะทำหน้าที่ต้องหัดอ่านเมนูให้เข้าใจ ออกเสียงให้ถูกต้อง แล้วไปเรียนวิธีการเสริฟจานอาหาร ชามซุป การจัดโต๊ะ การเสริฟน้ำชา เสริฟเบียร์ จิปาถะ แล้วส่งให้ไปฝึกรับใบสั่งอาหารในห้องครัว และจัดอาหารที่ได้จากกุ๊ก ให้กับเด็กยกอาหารให้ถูกต้อง การฝึกงานตรงนี้ใช้เวลาหนึ่งอาทิตย์เมื่อเห็นว่าผ่านจึงจะทำงานได้ ที่ห้องครัวจะอยู่ภายใต้การกำกับของเชฟ (chef) ซึ่งเป็นคนญี่ปุ่นที่เงินเดือนสูงมากๆ และเป็นคนที่ดุมาก จริงจัง เชฟจะทดสอบอาหารจานใดทายใจไม่ได้ ช้อนคันเล็ก ๆ กับตะเกียบเป็นอาวุธของเขา แต่ถ้าทดสอบแล้วไม่ผ่านกุ๊กคนที่ทำอาหารจานนั้นถูกหักเงินเดือน เด็กเสริฟบางคนต้องฝึกงานในห้องครัวถึงสองอาทิตย์จึงจะผ่าน
จากการทำอาหารอยู่ในเนื้อในตัวขนาดนี้ การฝึกงานนะหรือเด็กมาก เชฟชมเปาะ อาทิตย์เดียวผ่านและได้รับการตั้งชื่อจากเชฟ ว่า ฮิโรโกะ
ทุกเช้าจะมีการนิเทศงานก่อน ด้วยหัวหน้าพนักงานเสริฟที่เป็นคนญี่ปุ่น และคนไทย ถูกตรวจหู ตรวจผม ตรวจมือ ตรวจเล็บ มีแผลที่มือไม่ได้ต้องปิดพลาสเตอร์ให้เรียบร้อย ทุกอย่างต้องเรียบร้อย พูดถึงการทำงานเมื่อวานและพูดถึงการทำงานวันนี้ หากวันใดมีลูกค้าระดับสูงมาก็จะซักซ้อมมอบหมายหน้าที่เป็นพิเศษกับผู้รับผิดชอบ
ทำงานได้เดือนกว่าๆ พูดภาษญี่ปุ่นได้ขึ้นมาก ทำทุกอย่างถูกต้องหมด เริ่มได้รับที่ยากขึ้น คือให้รับผิดชอบห้องทานอาหารเอง มีครั้งหนึ่งได้รับผิดชอบดูแลห้องรัฐมนตรีกระทรวงของประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งต้องทำกับหัวหน้า วันนั้นมีแขกประมาณสิบกว่าคน และวันต่อมาแขกคนนั้นได้พาภริยามาด้วย เมื่อทานอาหารเสร็จ ได้รับแจ้งจากหัวหน้าว่า แขกคนสำคัญพร้อมภริยามีคำชมไปยังผู้จัดการร้าน เราต้องเข้าคารวะขอบคุณคำชมด้วยน้ำชา ธรรมเนียมเขาก็แปลกดีนะ เมื่อเราได้รับเกียรติจากผู้ใหญ่ เราต้องตอบแทนเขาด้วยการคารวะการขอบคุณด้วยน้ำชา…….. วันนั้นคำนับกันทั้งแขกและเด็กเสริฟเป็นสิบ สิบ ครั้ง ปลื้มใจมาก
คนญี่ปุ่นให้เกียรติคน ยิ่งเราบริการดีเท่าไร ทิปก็จะมาก คำขอบคุณก็จะมาก การโค้งคำนับก็จะมาก และจะไม่มีการพูดจาแทะโลม ลวนลาม แม้จะเมาเพียงใดก็ตาม สมัยนั้น ทิป 100 บาท เป็นอัตราปกติ บางทีทิปถึง 500 บาทก็มี
ทำงานเก็บเงินได้พอสมควรส่งเงินให้แม่ไปถมดิน และแม่ก็ยื่นกู้เงินธนาคารเพื่อปลูกบ้าน เราจึงมีบ้านอยู่กัน แต่ก็ผ่อนส่งกันอีกหลายสิบปี ช่วงนั้นน้องนี่แหล่ะเป็นกลังสำคัญ น้องแต่งงานกับนายตำรวจ แล้วเริ่มเรียนการศึกษาผู้ใหญ่ และเรียนมหาวิทยาลัยสุโขทัยธรรมาธิราช
ทำงานไปเรียนไปด้วยพักหนึ่ง ได้ลาออกจากร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น เปิดร้านซักอบรีด แม่รู้ข่าวเลยมาช่วยทำร้าน ทำร้านเป็นอะไรที่หนักมาก เพราะความมาตรฐานสูง เปิดร้านได้ประมาณสี่เดือนแม่ให้เลิก เพราะรายได้ที่ได้มาต้องจ่ายเป็นค่าเช่าตึก ค่าเช่าเฉพาะชั้นล่างเดือนละ ห้าพันบาท หากเป็นตึกของเราเองคงดี
อีกไม่กี่เดือนเรียนจบพอดี ดีใจ ดีใจ ดีใจ มาก ก ก ถ่ายรูปติดใบรับรองจบขนาด 1 นิ้ว ทันทีที่ได้รูป ใส่ลงไปในซองจดหมาย ส่งให้แม่แต่ไม่ได้เขียนอะไรลงไปด้วย
เก็บเสื้อผ้าใส่กระเป๋า เดินทางไปลำปาง ไปหาพ่อ จะไปบอกพ่อว่า พ่อทอดทิ้งลูก ลูกก็โตได้…….เรียนจบได้……………….. ไปด้วยความต่างๆ ที่อยู่ในหัวใจมากตลอดระยะเวลา ยี่สิบปีที่ผ่านมา เสียงในใจตอนนั้นอึงอลในความคิด ความรู้สึก นั่งรถทัวร์ทั้งคืนไม่นอน
ทันทีที่พบหน้าพ่อ จุก พูดไม่ออก …………. การแน่นตีขึ้นมาจนรู้สึกได้ พ่อแสดงความดีใจอย่างออกนอกหน้า และพ่อก็แก่มาก ผมหงอก ใบหน้าเหี่ยวย่น ในแววตาแม้จะมีความดีใจ แต่ฉายแววความสำนึกของความเป็นพ่อ สวัสดีพ่อ ค่อยๆ หยิบรูปที่ใช้ติดปริญญาใบเล็กๆ วางให้บนโต๊ะ พ่อเก็บรูปใบเล็กๆ ใส่กระเป๋าสตางค์ช้าๆ พ่อนั่งเงียบแล้วจึงพูดว่า “แม่เก่งนะ เลี้ยงลูกมาได้จนทุกวันนี้ จนลูกประสบความสำเร็จ” จากนั้นพ่อก็เปลี่ยนเรื่องพูดคุย วินาทีนั้นเหมือนโลกหมุนช้าลง จำได้ในทุกภาพที่พ่อขยับตัว รินน้ำชาให้ พูดคุยพร้อมมองหน้าด้วยสายตาที่บ่งบอกถึงความรัก “ดูแลแม่ดีดีนะ” แล้วพ่อก็ส่งเงินให้ ไม่มากนัก บอกว่า “เอาไว้จะได้ใช้ตอนทำงานเดือนแรก ปมที่อยู่ในใจมาหลายสิบปี ได้มลายไปสิ้น พ่อไม่ได้เอ่ยคำว่าขอโทษ แต่พ่อขอโทษด้วยคำอื่นๆ และสายตา ความรู้สึกให้อภัยบังเกิดขึ้นในจิตใจ และในวินาทีนั้นความรู้สึกปลดปล่อยพันธนาการในหัวใจก็ตามมา
ชีวิตหันเห มารับราชการเพราะแม่กับน้องต้องการให้เป็นข้าราชการเพื่อความมั่นคง ชีวิตไม่ใช่เลือกไม่ได้ แต่เราเลือกอย่างที่คนที่เรารักต้องการ ครอบครัวไม่มีเวลาพอให้ไปหาทางเดินของชีวิตมากนัก ทุกเวลาคือความอยู่รอด….
แบ่งหน้าที่ในการเลี้ยงหลานซึ่งเป็นลูกพี่สาวอายุได้ 5 ขวบ โดยแบ่งให้น้องเลี้ยงจนถึงมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย มหาวิทยาลัยจะเป็นภาระเอง อนาคตเด็กคนนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับความตั้งใจของเรา จะเลี้ยงเขาอย่างไรให้มีชีวิตที่งดงาม มีอนาคตที่ดี นี่คือโจทก์ใหญ่อีกข้อหนึ่ง
แม้จะรับราชการได้ แต่เงินเดือนไม่มากเพียงพอให้ทุกคนสบาย ยังต้องกระเบียดกระเสียรกันอยู่มาก ไม่นานอำม้าซึ่งแก่แล้วมาอยู่กับครอบครัวเรา มาครั้งนี้อำม้าช่วยได้เยอะ ด้วยการเจียดเงินที่ได้จากลูกๆ ช่วยแม่ค่าอาหารค่ายา พี่น้องแม่คนอื่นไม่ค่อยพอใจนัก………. แปลกนะคะ ที่จริงการให้เงินพ่อแม่ ให้แล้วเขาจะใช้อย่างไรก็ไม่น่าจะยุ่งด้วย …… คิดอย่างนี้ ทุกวันนี้จึงไม่ติดใจในการใช้เงินของแม่
มาถึงวันนี้ครอบครัวเราไม่คิดอะไรแล้ว คิดแต่ว่าไม่มีเหตุการณ์ต่างขึ้น เราก็อยู่บ้านอำม้าจนกว่าอำม้าจะเสียชีวิต ถึงตอนนั้นเราก็จะยิ่งตั้งตัวช้าและอาจจะลำบากกว่านี้ ในวิกฤตมีโอกาส เสมอ เสมอ
ตอนเรียนจบเพื่อนๆ ชวนไปเรียนเนติฯ ไปไม่ได้ ครอบครัวไม่มีเวลาพอให้ไปหาทางเดินของชีวิตมากนัก ทุกเวลาคือความอยู่รอด…. ทำงานเป็นพัฒนาชุมชนที่เชียงรายประมาณ 2 ปี ขอย้ายไปสระบุรีเพื่อจะเรียนต่อปริญญาโท จากบ้านอีกครั้งหนึ่ง…..
ช่วงนี้เองที่แม่สอนว่า ลูกเอ๋ย ลูกจะเป็นคนไม่มั่นคง อ่อนไหวง่ายดังเช่นไม้หลักปักขี้เลนได้อย่างไร ชีวิตลูกต้องเติบใหญ่ ชีวิตลูกเติบใหญ่ ก็จะเหมือนต้นไม้ และลูกจะเป็นต้นไม้แบบไหน ชีวิตบางคนเป็นต้นอ้อ ชีวิตบางคนเป็นไม้ยืนต้น ชีวิตบางคนเป็นต้นโพธิ์หรือต้นไทร แล้วลูกรู้ไหม ต้นโพธิ์กับต้นไทรทำไมยืนต้นได้ รากหยั่งลึก ลำต้นแข็งแรงใหญ่ กิ่งก้านใบปกคลุมให้ร่มเงา และภายใต้ต้นไม้ต้นนี้ มีทั้งสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งพืชและสัตว์ มาพักอาศัย มาเกาะเกี่ยว มาขอร่มเงา ชีวิตลูกจะเป็นต้นไม้แบบไหน ลูกคิดและเลือกเอง แต่หากลูกจะเลือกเป็นต้นโพธิ์ต้นไทร ลูกต้องเติบใหญ่และเข้มแข็งใช่หรือไม่ หยั่งรากลึกไหม ยืนหยัดได้ด้วยตนเองได้ไหม และใจใหญ่พอไหม จากคำสอนของแม่ เส้นทางชีวิตเส้นทางหนึ่งที่คิดและเลือกคือกัดฟันเป็นต้นไม้ใหญ่เพื่อเป็นร่มเงาให้ตนเองและผู้อื่น
ถอดบทเรียนชีวิต
1. ในวิกฤตมีโอกาสเสมอ
2. ขอบคุณความเป็นมาในอดีตที่ทำให้เป็นเราในวันนี้
3. การตัดสินใจในวันที่ผ่านมา เมื่อตัดสินใจด้วยความรอบคอบ ใคร่ครวญดีแล้ว จงอย่าเสียใจ และจงรับผลแห่งการตัดสินใจนั้นๆ
4. ไม่ว่าเราจะตัดสินใจเพื่อใครหรือเพื่ออะไร จงตัดสินใจด้วยตัวเอง
5. เส้นทางชีวิตที่แม้ไม่ราบเรียบ แต่เมื่อเราผ่านไปได้ เส้นทางกลับเป็นเส้นทางที่น่าพิศวง

หนิงเหมือนพี่เลยอ่ะ อีตรงที่พอใจกับชีวิตที่เลือกเอง ตัดสินใจเอง เพราะว่าอะไรที่เกิดในชีวิตนะมันเกิดด้วยกลไกอย่างนี้มั๊งเนอะ มันเลยหล่อหลอมเราให้เป็นอย่างที่เราเป็นอยู่ พี่นะเป็นคนที่ใครๆเข้าไกล้เขากลัว บางคนที่กล้าหน่อยเขาถามตรงๆว่าดูใช่ไหม เลยมาเอะใจว่าที่เขาว่าดุนะ มันจริงรึไม่นะนี่ ทำไมเขาเห็นไปยังงั้น ที่แท้การที่พอใจกับชีวิตที่เลือกเอง ตัดสินใจเองนะ มันทำให้คนอื่นเขามองเราว่าดื้อ ดึ รั้น เป็นไปตามแต่เขาจะให้นิยามแหละเนอะ พอมาเรียนรู้ตนเองได้แล้วนะน้อง มันหายข้องใจว่า ทำไมนิยามคำว่าดุ ของเขากับของเราไม่เหมือนกัน เลยทำใจได้หากจะมีใครมาบอกให้ได้ยินอีกว่าดุค่ะ….ไม่ว่าใครจะแซวว่าดุก็ไม่เป็นไรแล้วค่ะ….พูดเล่าอย่างนี้พี่เชื่อว่า…จะมีบางคนเข้ามาป่วนต่อ…55555
เป็นประสบการณ์ชีวิตที่มีค่ามาก
อ่านแล้วได้ความรู้สึกดี โดยเฉพาะ ถอดบทเรียนชีวิต ที่ทำให้ข้อเขียนมีคุณค่า สมเป็นลานดีดี
จริงค่ะ นิยามของแต่ละคนไม่เมือนกัน การเข้มงวดบางคนบอกว่าดุ การเสียงดังบางคนบอกว่าดุ คนทำงานจริงจังบางคนบอกว่าดุ การมั่นใจในตนเองบางคนบอกว่าดุ การมั่นคงในเป้าหมายในการทำงานบางคนบอกว่าดุ คำว่าดุของแต่ละคนมีมิติไม่เหมือนและไม่เท่ากัน คนอื่นอาจมองว่าพี่หมอเจ๊ดุ แต่หนิงสัมผัส ความใจดี ความอบอุ่น น่ารักและติดดินมากๆ อิ อิ
เพราะว่าอะไรที่เกิดในชีวิตนะมันเกิดด้วยกลไกอย่างนี้มั๊งเนอะ มันเลยหล่อหลอมเราให้เป็นอย่างที่เราเป็นอยู่ นอกจากจะหล่อหลอมให้เราเป็นแล้วยังสร้างแว่นให้เราใช้สวมใส่มองโลกด้วยเนอะ
ขอบคุณพี่บางทรายค่ะ อายุมันปูนนี้แล้วค่ะพี่ อย่างน้อยในช่วงหนึ่งของชีวิตคนทุกคนจะมีประสบการณ์ที่มีคุณค่าบ้างไม่มากก็น้อย……. เพราะประสบการณ์ที่มีคุณค่านี่แหล่ะค่ะ การเล่าเรื่องตัวเองจึงเป็นการแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ชีวิตด้วย ใครเก็บอะไรได้ก็เก็บไป
หากเปรียบช่วงชีวิตที่มีค่า เหมือนเพชร ชีวิตของคนแต่ละคน มีเพชรมากมายมหาศาล เพชรชีวิตหนึ่งเม็ดมีความงดงาม แง่มุม ที่ไม่เหมือนกันในสายตาของผู้มอง
พี่บางทรายก็มีช่วงชีวิตที่เป็นเพชรอยู่ไม่น้อย จากที่ได้สัมผัสค่ะ

พี่อึ่งอ๊อบขา ขอโทษสองทีที่ตอบช้ามาก จนข้ามปีพุทธศักราช อย่างที่บอกกล่าวนั่นแหล่ะว่าใช้เวลาดูแลแม่
ชีวิตคือการต่อสู้จากความพยายาม ใช่เลยค่ะ พยายามแม้กระทั่งการเติมใจให้กับคนในครอบครัว ในความรู้สึกของหนิงในทุก ๆ วัน คือวันนี้ดีแล้ว และวันพรุ่งนี้จะดีขึ้นในทุกๆ วัน ใจที่แข็งแกร่งเกิดจากแม่ค่ะ มองเห็นแม่แล้วอยากปกป้องดูแลไม่ให้ทุกข์ยาก ลำบาก อยากเห็นแม่มีความสุข อดทนและนับวันเวลาของความสำเร็จค่ะ ขาดบ้างเกินบ้าง แม่ให้กำลังใจตลอด แม่บอกเสมอว่าลูกแม่เก่ง
ทุกวันนี้หนิงได้การเติมใจลักษณะนี้จากแม่ เติมใจให้กับเพื่อนร่วมงาน น้อง พี่ หนิงมีความสุขที่เห็นเขาเรียนรู้การเติมใจมากซะยิ่งกว่าเห็นความสุขที่เขาได้รับจากเรา
การเติมใจทำให้เติบโตและแข็งแกร่ง
หนิงเห็นบทบาทของแม่อีกบทบาทที่ประทับใจ คือ เมื่อลูกนกปีกหักแม่จะรีบโอบอุ้ม ใส่ยา ใส่เฝือก ป้อนข้าว ป้อนน้ำ ซักพักเอง ลูกนกแข็งแร็ง เริ่มออกโบยบินอีก แม่ก็ปล่อยออกไปด้วยความเชื่อมั่นในตัวลูกนก และเก็บมารักษาทุกครั้งโดยมิได้ซ้ำเติม ไม่นานนักลูกนก็บินได้ดี และบินได้อย่างเริงร่า
พี่อึ่งอ๊อบก็เป็นคนแข็งแกร่ง อยู่ที่ไพ่ใบที่เราทิ้งหรือเราเก็บ หนิงเลือกเก็บไพ่ใบนี้ แต่ก็นั้นแหล่ะ บางทีลืมให้พื้นที่ไพ่ความอ่อนแอ และอ่อนโยนทำงาน บางจังหวะของชีวิตก็เสียสมดุลค่ะ

วันหนึ่งบอกกับผู้พี่ผู้น้องกันว่า ทำไมเขาถึงไม่ดีกับเรา ทำไมเขาถึงชอบคนทำงานอย่างนั้นได้ ทำไม.. ทำไม.. น้องถามว่า เขาเป็นคนอย่างไร หนิงเป็นคนอย่างไร เขาไม่ชอบเราใช่ไหม .. ถูกต้องแล้วนะที่เขาไม่ชอบเรา ก็เขาเป็นอย่างนั้นจะชอบเราได้อย่างไร ถ้าเขาชอบเราซิแปลก………. เออจริงเนาะ เรานี่ก็บ้าไปแล้ว เขาเป็นอย่างนั้นไม่ชอบเราก็ถูกต้องแล้ว ถ้าเราจะให้เขาชอบเราต้องสนองตอบวาระวซ่อนเร้น(ผลประโยชน์) ได้ คิดได้เช่นนี้จิตใจปลอดโปร่ง โล่งจริงๆ เลยค่ะ
