จากนั้นก็ขับรถกลับบ้าน ผ่านเพิงข้างทางขายไข่ไ่ก่สดๆ ของซีพี จึงแวะซื้อ ผู้ชายวัยกลางคน คนขายไข่พูดจาน่าฟังมากและรู้ได้ทันที่ว่าไม่ใช่คนธรรมดา ….และทราบว่าเป็นสัตวแพทย์ จึงปรึกษาเรื่องแมวที่ป่วย และเล่าความเป็นมาทั้งหมดให้ฟังพร้อมประวัติการรักษา…น้องหมอจึงบอกว่าให้ พาน้องเหมียวมาให้ดูพร้อมเอกสารการรักษาติดมาด้วย อาม่าดีใจมากรีบกลับมารับเจ้าเหมียว พร้อมเอกสารการรักษา รีบขับรถมาหาน้องหมอทันที่ พออ่านประวัติการรักษาเสร็จ น้องหมอโทรฯหาหมอเจ้าของไข้ทันที่สอบถามรายละเอียดและผลเลือด ดูเหมือนตอนคุยกันเป็นภาษาที่น่าฟังอย่างยิ่ง ทั้งสองฝ่ายให้ความเคารพกันและกันช่วยเหลือกันเป็นอย่างดียิ่ง สักพักน้องหมอจับแมวออกจากตระกล้าตรงไปที่ต้นไม้ ให้น้องเหมียวเกาะต้นไม้ น้องเหมียวรีบเกาะต้นไม้ทันที่หมอก็ยิ้ม หมอดูตาน้องเหมียว แล้วยิ้มอีกครั้งหมอบอกว่า อาจารย์เคยสังเกตุตาแมวไหม ว่าตาสองข้างไม่เหมือนกัน เขาเรียกว่าแมวตาเพชร อาม่าตอบว่าค่ะเห็นว่าตาสองข้างไม่เหมือนกัน เวลาเขาเผลอจะเห็นชัด ลูกชายของหมอรีบบอกว่า ตาสีมรกต หมอจึงบอกว่าเป็นแมวพันธุ์ผสม ที่สืบสายพันธุ์แมวโบราณของไทย อะไรกันนี่ อาม่าไม่มีความรู้เรื่องแมวเลย และน้องเหมียวเขาหนีตายจากถูกมอเตอร์ไซชน เข้ามาหลบอยู่ในสวน ได้ยินเสียงร้องน่าสงสาร จึงเลี้ยงดูเขามาตั้งแต่วันนั้นที่อายุไม่ถึงอาทิตย์ จนบัดนี้กว่าสิบปีแล้ว
สักครู่เดียวภรรยาของน้องหมอก็มาถึง หมอหยกเป็นสัวต์แพทย์ที่ออกไปช่วยเหลือรักษาสัตว์เลี้ยงของชาวบ้าน เป็ดไก่ ห่าน หมู วัวควาย หมาแมว ฯลฯ. ท่านอุทิศชีวิตช่วยเหลือสัตว์เลี้ยงของชาวบ้านผู้ยากไร้ นอกจากนั้นยังช่วยเหลือคนยากไร้ให้ช่วยกันเลี้ยงปลาเลี้ยงสัตว์ ปลูกข้าว ปลูกผัก ผลไม้ในที่ดินของท่าน และสอนให้ทำงาน แบ่งหน้าที่ชัดเจน แบ่งรายได้ให้อย่างยุติธรรม ทุกคนมีรายได้ จากผลผลิตที่ตัวเองทำได้ ทำให้เป็นแหล่งพึ่งพิงของผู้ยากไร้กลุ่มหนึ่ง
หมอหยกคุยกับสามีอยู่พักหนึ่ง ก่อนมาตรวจน้องเหมียวอย่างละเอียด และบอกว่า อาจารย์พามาฉีดยาสามเข็มต่อเนื่องกันสามวันนะค่ะ และอธิบายให้ฟังว่าน้องเหมียวไม่สบายอ่อนเพลียมาก แมวเป็นสัตว์กระเพาะเดียว เป็นสัตว์กินเนื้อ ให้เอาเนื้อหมูสดๆ ที่มั่นใจว่าไม่มีพยาธิให้กินต่อเนื่องกันสามวัน เขาจะฟื้นตัวได้เร็ว
อาม่าทำตามหมอสั่งอย่างเคร่งคัด น้องเหมียวดีขึ้นทันตาเห็น วันนี้ครบสามวันร้องกินเนื้อสดและและปลาสด ดูสดชื่นขึ้นรวดเร็วเมื่อฉีดยาครบสามเข็ม คุณหมอบอกว่าอีกอาทิตย์ให้พาน้องเหมียวมาฉีดวัคซีนรวม และวัคซีนป้องกันโรคสุนัขบ้า อาม่าถามคุณหมอเกี่ยวกับค่ารักษาด้วยความเกรงใจ คุณหมอบอกว่าคิดค่าฉีดยาครั้งละ 50 บาท ครบสามเข็มค่อยจ่าย วันนี้ฉีดยาครบสามเข็มแล้ว อาม่าบอกว่างั้นอาม่าขอทำบุญ จึงมอบเงินจำนวนหนึ่งให้ คุณหมอบอกว่ามากเกินไป นี่รวมทั้งค่าฉีดยาวัคซีนครั้งต่อไปก็ยังเหลือ อาม่าบอกว่าตั้งใจทำบุญค่ะ

ดีใจที่น้องเหมียวหายป่วยแล้วค่ะ เข้าใจความรู้สึกของคนรักสัตว์เลี้ยงค่ะ เวลาเขาสบายดีเขาก็ทำให้เรามีความสุขค่ะ และจะรู้สึกเป็นทุกข์มากเมื่อเห็นเขาไม่สบาย แล้วก็พยายามหาวิธีการรักษาเขาให้ดีที่สุดเช่นกันค่ะ

พี่หลินครับ ผมก็เอาน้อหมาไปเข้าโรงพยาบาลสัตว์เสีย 1 สัปดาห์ เขาเป็นโรคผิวหนัง ขึ้นผื่นแดง นอนซม ไม่กินอาหาร สัตว์แพทย์ให้น้ำเกลือ ฉีดยา ตอนนี้เอากลับมาบ้านแล้ว สดชื่นขึ้น แต่ยังพักฟื้นอยู่ครับ เข้าฤดูหนาวก็ดีหน่อยสำหรับโกลเดน เพราะขนเขายาว
ดีใจที่น้องแมวหายป่วยแล้วนะครับ
โรงพยาบาลสัตว์ที่ขอนแก่น ก็มีแมวหมาเต็มไปหมดป่วยกันเยอะครับ
