เป็นพระที่งดงามมาก อาม่าอยากทราบความยาวของพระนอนองค์นี้ ซึ่งมีความสำคัญมากเพื่อใช้เปรียบเทียบกับพระนอนองค์อื่นๆ ซึ่งมักจะพูดว่าเป็นองค์ใหญ่ที่สุดใน…..สำหรับอาม่าไม่ปล่อยให้มันผ่านไปโดยไม่คิด หรือหาคำตอบให้กับตัวเอง เมื่อถามใครก็ตอบไม่ได้ ก็แปลกใจเหมือกัน ทั้งๆที่พระนอนในศาลาวัดป่าวิเวกองนี้งามมาก เป็นผีมือชาวบ้านหว้านใหญ่ ที่ออตใช้เป็นสถานที่จัดค่ายฮูบแต้ม ซึ่งเป็นค่ายศิลปกรรมลุ่มน้ำโขง ตอน”ฮูบแต้มแคมของ”เป็นสิ่งที่น่าสนใจมาก เป็นที่แปลกใจมากสำหรับอาม่าไม่มีใครอยากรู้อยากทราบ ขนาดความยาวของพระนอนองค์นี้ อาม่าอยากรู้ จึงถามหลายๆคน แต่ไม่มีใครทราบ ทุกคนบอกเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่าจำไม่ได้ แต่มีอยู่ในหนังสือ แล้วจะไปค้นมาให้คำตอบพรุ่งนี้ หลายคนที่พูดก็จำไม่ได้ว่าสัญญาไว้อย่างไร จนบัดนี้ก็ไม่มีคำตอบ
แต่สำหรับอาม่ารู้คำตอบความยาวคร่าวๆ ขององค์พระนอนรูปนี้ตั้งแต่นาที่แรกที่เห็น เผอิญได้คุยกับ คนที่ร่วมมือลงแรงสร้างพระนอนองค์นี้ด้วยสองมือของตัวเอง ก็จำไม่ได้ค่ะ เพราะตอนที่สร้างพระนอนนั้น เขาอยู่ชั้นประถม พระนอนสร้างเมืิ่่่อ ปี 2501 ฉะนั้นท่านผู้นี้ก็คงจะอายุ ประมาณ 62 ปี สิ่งที่ท่านผู้นี้จำฝังใจ คือโครงรูปร่างภายในของพระนอนใช้ไม้ไผ่ชนิดหนึ่ง ซึ่งมีอยู่ที่ฝั่งลาว ต้องพายเรือไปช่วยขนไม้ไผ่ชนิดนี้มาให้ที่วัด เพราะมีคุณสมบัติพิเศษคือ เหมาะกับการดัดให้โค้งงอสร้างรูปร่าง แล้วโบกปูนขึ้นรูปร่างที่ต้องการ ทำให้องค์พระน้ำหนักเบา และคงทนแข็งแรงจนมาถึงทุกวันนี้ก็ประมาณ 52 ปีแล้ว
ในภาพนี้ตั้งใจจะเปรียบเทียบสัดส่วนขององค์พระให้ดูค่ะ โดยปกติ การวาดภาพ หรือถ่ายภาพบางครั้งต้องการให้มีการเปรียบเทียบขนาด จึงใช้คำว่าสเกล(มาตรตราส่วน/สัดส่วน)บางคนก็ทำเป็นโดยนำวัดถุที่รู้ขนาดสัดส่วนมาวางติด หรือใกล้วัดถุที่ต้องการถ่ายภาพ หรือวาดภาพ แต่หลายคนอาจไม่ใส่ใจมากนัก สำหรับคนที่เป็นนักวิทยาศาตร์นั้น เขาต้องนำมาใช้จริง เพื่อคำนวนหาขนาดสัดส่วนของสิ่งที่ต้องการค่ะ

สำหรับในภาพ จะเห็นรูปปั้นพระนั่งพนมมือใกล้พระนอนมากที่สุด ถัดมา พี่ทิก(วิทยากรพี่เลี้ยง)สุดหล่อสวมเสื้อสีคล้ำนั่งใกล้พระนอนมากที่สุด พี่ทิกรู้สัดส่วนของตัวเองหรือเปล่า ถ้ารู้ก็ทราบขนาดองค์พระนี้ได้ กี่ร้อยพี่ทิกจึงได้ขนาดองค์พระนี้ ฉันใดก็ฉันนั้น ถ้าเราอยากทราบว่าฝูงนก ฝูงสัดว์นั้นๆมีจำนวนสัตว์กี่ตัวก็ทำได้ง่าย โดยใช้เเปรียบเทียบพื้นที่กับขนาดของสัตว์ตัวนั้น ว่าหนึ่งตัวใช้พื้นที่เท่าไหร่ พอเห็นเป็นฝูงก็ประมาณได้ว่าอยู่ในพื้นที่ขนาดเื่ท่าไหร่ แล้วกลับมาคิดดูว่า จะมีสัตว์ทั้งหมดกี่ตัว เห็นไหมค่ะไม่ยากใครๆก็ทำได้หากตั้งใจค่ะ

ตอนแรกหาสถานที่จัดค่ายแล้วเห็นว่าวิหารพระใหญ่เหมาะที่สุด พื้นที่กว้างใช้จัดกิจกรรมได้ นอนได้ เป็นสัดส่วนไม่ยุ่งกับเขตสงฆ์
แต่ในใจเกรงว่าจะรบกวนพระสงฆ์ในวัด เมื่อเข้าไปนมัสการเจ้าคณะฯว่าจะมีเสียงดังบ้าง มีเพลงบ้าง มีเสียงดังบ้าง
ท่านเมตตาบอกว่า “เป็นธรรมดาของการจัดกิจกรรมเด็ก เด็กกับการเล่น เด็กกับความสนุกเป็นของคู่กัน”
ได้ความเมตตามาอย่างนี้ โล่งอกไปทันที แต่ทุกคืนก่อนนอนเราก็สวดมนต์กันที่นั้นครับ พักจิต พักใต สำรวมใจกาย เพื่อการมีสติอย่างที่อาม่าให้แนวคิดไว้
ออตคิดถูกแล้วค่ะ วัดคือสถานที่ อบรมให้การศึกษา และฝึกปรือวิทยายุทธด้านต่าง มาตั้งครั้งโบราณ ของดีๆ มักจะนำมาถวาย วัด กับ วัง แต่ที่วัดอาจมีของแถมมาที่เขาไม่ต้องการด้วย เช่นตัดหางปล่อยวัด ตัดหนวดปล่อยวัด อะไรที่ไม่ต้องการรับภาระก็มาปล่อยที่วัด ทิ้งที่วัด…….อยากให้ชวนกันคิดสักนิดก่อนตัดสินใจ จะเลี้ยงสัตว์เลี้ยง ควรคิดให้ยาวๆ ว่าเรามีความพร้อม ในการรับผิดชอบเลี้ยงดูเขาได้ตลอดอายุขัยได้หรือไม่ มิใช่เลี้ยงไปแล้ว พอติดขัดมีภาระ ก็นำภาระนั้น มาเพิ่มภาระที่วัด…..เป็นเรื่องเดิมๆ คิดแบบเดิมๆ ทำแบบเดิมๆ ผลก็ออกมาแบบเดิม เห็นอยู่ทั่วไปเกือบทุกวัด ทั่วประเทศ คราวหน้าออตจัดค่ายเยาวชน ช่วยพูดเรื่องนี้ด้วยนะค่ะ
เป็นความลงตัวนะครับผมคิดเช่นนั้น เรื่องสถานที่ ตอนแรกผมว่ามันจะร้อนเกินไป แต่เมื่อนั่งอยู่พักใหญ่ๆ ก็โอเค โชคดีที่หลังคาสูงจึงช่วยระบายความร้อนจากหลังคาออกไปเมื่อมีลมพัดมา
สมัยก่อนพี่เรียนหนังสือโรงเรียนวัด ทุกวันพระก็ไปทำบุญที่วัด คนในหมู่บ้านมีเกิด แก่ เจ็บตาย ก็ล้วนใกล้ชิดวัด กิจกรรมจำนวนมากมายเราจัดกันที่วัด โดยเฉพาะงานเกี่ยวกับประเพณีต่างๆ เราจัดที่วัด เพราะวัดมีลานกว้าง มีถ้วยชามรามไห มากเพียงพอรับคนจำนวนมาก มาวันนี้จัดงานค่ายเด็กที่วัด วิเศษจริงๆ ออต
