การแต่งตัวศพ
ผู้หญิงนิยมใส่ชุดท่อนบน(เสื้อ) 4 ตัว ชุดท่อนล่างเป็นกางเกง 2ตัว ชิ้นนอกสุดเป็นผ้าถุงหรือเป็นชุดกระโปรงแบบจีน รวมเป็น 7 ชิ้น ส่วนผู้ชายนิยมใส่ชุดท่อนบน(เสื้อ) 4 ตัว ชุดท่อนล่างเป็นกางเกง 2ตัว รวมเป็น 6 ชิ้น (ผู้ชายเป็นคู่ผู้หญิงเป็นคี่) ชิ้นนอกสุดนิยมเป็นสีม่วงเข้ม หรือเป็นชุดเต็มยศ สำหรับ อาม่าไซเง็ก แซ่ฉั่ว ท่านตัดเย็บเตรียมไว้ด้วยตัวเองเป็นสีขาวล้วน เพราะท่านถือศีล การแต่งตัวให้ศพ นั้นยังมีรายละเอียดปลีกย่อยมาก ทั้งคนฮกเกี้ยนและแต้จิ๋วมาจากมณฑลเดียวกันจึงจะมีพิธีคล้ายกันมาก เสื้อที่สวมให้ผู้ตาย จะเอากระดุมไว้ด้านหลัง

งานศพ อาม่าไซเง็ก แซ่ฉั่ว เป็นการจัดผสมผสานทั้งสองวัฒนธรรมไทย-จีน ตั้งศพที่วัดกลางปัหธงชัย ทำบุญถวายเพลทุกวัน สวดอภิธรรมทุกคืน ตั้งแต่วันที่ ๙ -๑๕ สค. ยกเว้น คืนวันที่๑๒ สค.
วันที่ ๑๖ สค.จะเป็นการสวด และทำบุญแบบจีน ที่เรียกว่าทำกงเต็ก ซึ่งจะมีพิธีไหว้ บรรพบุรุษ ที่ล่วงลับไปแล้ว และสวดกงเต็กภาคเช้าทำบุญอุทิศส่วนกุศลให้บรรพบุรุษ จบ แล้วเผาเงินทองสิ่งของเครื่องใช้ ทั้งของสำหรับบรรพบุรุษผู้หญิงผู้ชาย เพื่อนำไปใช้ในสรวงสวรรค์
พีธีกงเต็กใหญ่ เริ่มภาคบ่ายต่อด้วยภาคค่ำ ซึ่งมีรายละเอียดที่ลูกหลานจีนควรจะได้ทำความเข้าใจ
หลังจบพิธีกงเต็ก ลูกหลานช่วนกันขนของที่เตรียมให้ อาม่า ไปใช้ที่แดนสุขาวดี มีทุกอย่างตั้งแต่บ้าน คนขับรถ(ชื่อขาว) คนรับใช้ ชาย ชื่อเฮง คนรับใช้หญิงชื่อกิม บ้าน ตู้ เตียง เครื่องอำนวยควาสะดวกทุกอย่าง โทรทัศน์ โทรศัพท์ เครื่องใช้ส่วนตัว ตู้ทรัพย์สมบัติ ฯลฯ และรถเบนซ์สีแดง เพื่อเผาส่งไปให้อาม่า ลูกหลานทุกคนต้องจดจำ ชื่อของสามคนนี้ให้ดี เพื่อไม่ให้ตั้งชื่อเตรือญาติที่จะเกิดใหม่ในอนาคตค่ะ
