เรื่องเล็ก ๆ ที่ชวนให้ใจอบอุ่น
นานมาแล้ว… ได้รับ e-mail จากเพื่อน ๆ เกี่ยวกับเรื่องเล็ก ๆ ที่ชวนให้ใจอบอุ่น เวียนอ่านกี่ครั้ง กี่ครั้ง ก็รู้สึกดีทุกครั้ง….ดีแบบดี ดี และเก็บเอาไว้ในความทรงจำตลอดเวลา…. เรื่องมีอยู่ว่า
หลายปีก่อนที่ Seattle Special Olympics ผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 9 คน ที่ล้วนพิการอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง มารวมตัวกันที่จุดเริ่มต้น การแข่งวิ่ง 100 หลา
เมื่อเสียงสัญญาณดังขึ้น ทุกคนก็ออกวิ่ง ไม่ใช่แค่วิ่งเพื่อแข่งกันเข้าสู่เส้นชัยเท่านั้น แต่พวกเค้าวิ่งอย่างสนุกสนาน อย่างร่าเริง
ยกเว้น…เด็กชายคนหนึ่งที่สะดุดล้มลงบนลู่ยางมะตอย ล้มแล้วล้มอีก เค้าเริ่มร้องไห้….
อีก 8 คน ได้ยินเสียงร้องไห้นั้น พวกเค้าชลอฝีเท้าลง แล้วหันไปมองที่มาแห่งเสียงนั้น….
…แล้ว ทั้งหมดก็หันหลังกลับ….
เด็กหญิงผู้พิการทางสมองคนหนึ่ง…คุกเข่าลงจูบเด็กชาย พร้อมกับพูดว่า…..”นี่จะทำให้เธอรู้สึกดีขึ้นนะ”…. ทั้งหมดเดินคล้องแขนกัน…เดินไปสู่เส้นชัยพร้อม ๆ กัน…
…..ทุกคนบนสเตเดี้ยมลุกขึ้นยืน….ส่งเสียงเชียร์เป็นเวลานานหลายนาที….
นี่หมายความว่าอะไร
ในส่วนลึกแล้ว…เราต่างก็รู้ว่า สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดในชีวิตไม่ได้อยู่ที่การได้ชัยชนะ หากแต่เป็นการช่วยให้ผู้อื่นได้รับชัยชนะ ถึงแม้ว่ามันจะทำให้เราต้องช้าลง หรือบางที ถึงกับต้องเปลี่ยนเส้นทางของเราก็ตาม
“ตัวเทียนนั้นไม่ได้ต้องเสียอะไรเลยมิใช่หรือ ถ้าจะเอามาต่อเทียนอีกเล่มให้สุกสว่างขึ้นมา”…..
