ตัวเองเป็นหมอ เที่ยวแนะนำคนไข้ให้ระวังสุขภาพ ไม่ให้นอนดึกแต่ตัวเองเล่นเน็ตนอนเที่ยงคืนตีหนึ่ง เที่ยวคุยกับชาวบ้าน พลอยทำให้คนอื่นนอนดึกไปด้วย แนะนำให้ระวังเรื่องการรับประทานอาหาร ให้ออกกำลังกาย แต่ตัวเองไม่ปฏิบัติ ปล่อยตัวเองให้อ้วนน้ำหนักปาเข้าไปตั้ง 90 กิโลกรัม อย่างนี้ก็ไม่ไหว

พอดีที่ทำงานมีโครงการส่งเสริมสุขภาพและป้องกันโรค ขาดวิทยากรที่จะมาช่วยพูดเรื่องการลดน้ำหนักตัวและการออกกำลังกาย ต้องบรรยายประมาณ 20 ครั้ง ครั้งละ 50-60 คน จำเป็นต้องรับงานบรรยายก็เลยมานั่งคิดว่า ถ้ายังอ้วนเป็นหมูตอนอย่างนี้ ไปพูดให้ใครฟังเขาคงไม่เชื่อ ถ้ามัวแต่หาความรู้แต่ไม่ทำสักทีคงไม่ได้เรื่องแน่อาศัยที่เคยออกกำลังกายอยู่เดิมแต่เลิกไปนานเพราะขี้เกียจ เลยมารื้อฟื้นใหม่ คือเริ่มปฏิบัติ ก็ไม่ได้ใช้ความรู้ขั้นสูงอะไรมาก เป็นความรู้พื้นฐานที่ชาวบ้านทั่วไปก็สามารถเรียนรู้และเข้าใจได้ไม่ยากนัก พอเริ่มปฏิบัติก็ได้ผล คือเริ่มควบคุมอาหาร ( ลดอาหารลงทีละน้อย ) เริ่มออกกำลังกายด้วยการวิ่งและยกน้ำหนัก ( ค่อยๆทำ ไม่หักโหม แล้วค่อยๆเพิ่มการออกกำลังกายทีละน้อย ) เริ่มปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมต่างๆทีละน้อย เช่นค่อยๆลดขนมหวานลงไม่ดื่มน้ำอัดลม เดินขึ้นบันไดแทนการใช้ลิฟท์ เป็นต้น น้ำหนักตัวก็ค่อยๆลด จนตอนนี้เหลือแค่ 73 กิโลกรัม ใช้เวลา 2 ปี ร่างกายก็แข็งแรงขึ้น สุขภาพจิตก็ดีขึ้น อารมณ์แจ่มใสมีอารมณ์ขัน มีคนเริ่มมาออกกำลังกายมากขึ้นเพราะผู้ชักชวนเขามาออกกำลังกายปฏิบัติจริงตามที่ไปชักชวนเขาไว้ บรรยากาศทั้งที่ทำงานและที่บ้านก็ดีขึ้นมาก
เลยอยากเอามาฝากเพื่อนๆ ที่ชอบค้นคว้าหาความรู้ใหม่ๆว่า การเรียนรู้จะเกิดขึ้นก็ต่อเมื่อเอาความรู้นั้นมาปฏิบัติ เกิดพัฒนาการ เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงในทางที่ดีขึ้น ความรู้ต่างๆที่เราศึกษาค้นคว้ามาแต่ไม่นำมาปฏิบัติ ก็ไม่เกิดประโยชน์อะไรเลย รู้พอประมาณแต่นำมาปฏิบัติดีกว่ารู้มาก รู้หมดแต่ไม่ทำอะไรเลย
